We went out with some friends not too long ago and while were waiting for our movie to start, we walked around the mall. I don't know how but we ended up in Fosters. I made the mistake of feeling this blanket they had laying out and OH MY GOODNESS...It's soooo soft!! So I totally had to have it.
Hurley and the other animals really like it too!! I had originally tried to get a picture of some LAV's driving by while we were stopped at a gas station today but my battery decided to die at that exact moment and I didn't have time to switch it out with the charged one..I was so mad!

Day 29: Reflection
Every time Jeremy comes over he treats Hurley like crap. I constantly ask him not to stop but he just does what he wants anyways. His excuse is simply that he just doesn't like Hurley. So I said that doesn't matter cause he's my dog and he has no right to treat him that way and if Hurley bothers him that much then he just doesn't need to be here. I know you're probably wondering why I'm going on about this! I got to the point where I wanted to punch Jeremy in the face so, to keep myself from kicking his ass, I went into the bedroom cause I knew Hurley would follow and I didn't want him near Jeremy anymore. I hadn't taken my picture for today yet, and I didn't want to go back into the living room cause I knew I'd punch him if I did. So I had to find something in the bedroom. I started taking pictures of different things and then started trying to get the reflection of the flowers in the mirror. I didn't like the way the flowers looked and wondered if I could get the window in focus. And that's my long way of explaining how this picture came about!!

Day 28: Theme 3 (unusual point of view)
This is my attempt at an unusual point of view! I don't know if I really got it but that's about all I could think of. I tried a few different shots looking under Andy's truck. Then I took this one, I ended up liking it better than the other ones. I have to do a little more research on different points of view and maybe try again later in the year. So for now, this is as good as it gets!

Day 27: Father and Son
I was lost in Greenville most of the day today so by the time I got home I really wasn't feeling creative. I made Andy shake hands with Bruno so I could capture a cute father/son moment! I like how Bruno's face looks in the shot.

Day 26: Rain, Rain, Go Away
It was pouring down rain yesterday and today it hasn't rained as much but the clouds just keep getting darker. I thought this was cool because it shows how part of the sky was all gray and another part is all pretty and blue! It's just neat how it can be mixed like that. The clouds were also moving pretty fast. I took a picture of a helicopter while it was flying by and it was really cool cause you could see each blade as if none of them were moving. It was just out of focus cause I didn't really see it in time. So I have a new goal...take a good picture of one while it's flying by!
I know it's not very pretty to look at but I was trying to get a reflection shot in some of the puddles on the road. I liked this one the best.

Day 25: Camomille Tea
I'm going to be honest...I totally forgot about taking a picture until just a few minutes ago so I had to just go with something easy. The past few days have been filled with nothing but bad news piled on top of more bad news. So when I was getting ready to head to Charlotte for an interview I got turned down before I even got there! So today just really wasn't a good day. Just to explain how bad all this is getting to me, Andy brought home some Arby's for dinner and when I pulled out the food and saw he got me the wrong thing, I burst into tears! Crying over a sandwich...Yes, that is what my life has come to!! So our tassimo stuff came in the mail today and I decided to fix myself a cup of camomille tea to make me calm down a little bit. So that's my whole story behind the cup of tea.

Day 24: Batman
I know this is just a picture of one of my cats but I just thought she looked so cute staring at the fireplace. I wanted to do something different today but I got kind of busy so I just went with this. If you look close you can see the few little white hairs that are in her nice black coat! I have to go to Charolette tomorrow but I will be taking my camera with me. I just wont be able to put the pictures up until I get back. TTFN

Day 23: His boots/Her flops
Today was a pretty crappy day and I didn't feel like getting creative so I used something that is really cliche! A lot of the wives around here put these stickers on their cars and stuff like that so I just grabbed andy's boots and a pair of my flip flops and sat them in front of the fireplace. So there it is!!

Day 22: Sushi
Ok, I promise I took this on the 22nd! We went out to eat with some friends and then went to a movie so I couldn't post it until we got home. I think this might be the first time I actually took a picture that had something to do with what I was doing. I usually just have to find something around the house that catches my eye. I would like to thank Annie and Andy for their wonderful chop-stick placement! :)

Day 21: Theme 2 (Compatible Objects)
Well as if you couldn't tell from the title, this week's theme was compatible objects. I was having trouble all week trying to pick what to take a picture of for this because I had so many ideas! Then, a little after 3, there was a knock at the door. It was the mailman with the camera my mom sent me!!! I was so excited so started taking pictures of different things around the house. I have to focus the lense myself because the auto focus is broken so I went in the bedroom and started taking pictures of these flowers to see how good I was at focusing. I then realized that this is what I wanted to use as my theme photo...flowers and a vase! I know it may look like i can't focus but I took a ton of pictures and I really liked the one with the vase in focus the best.

Day 20: The House and Clouds
I was driving home from New Bern today, and I saw this old house way out in this open field. I just thought the way the fence and trees and stuff looked made it a neat picture. I liked that it was all old and falling apart.
I don't usually find more than one thing that pops out at me for my picture of the day, but as I got closer to home I noticed that there were more clouds building up. I thought this looked really pretty. I just had to post it too!

Day 19: The French Fourragere
Andy officially became a part of 1/6 today and felt that it was only fitting that today's picture be of something to honor that! There is a story that goes along with the rope thingy and why the 1/6 marines get to wear it, but I really don't feel like telling it. I will say that the 6th marines and 5th marines are the only ones that have been given the honor of wearing it so I thought that was pretty cool!!

Day 18: Woodland
Ok so I couldn't find any inspiration for today's picture so I just took a picture of andy's woodland blouse and added some effects. I want to do something later on in the year with Andy's dress blue coat. That's all for today!!

Day 17: Tunnel Vision
This is what I had planned on doing yesterday until I got all caught up in the moment of it looking all cool with the leaves and stuff!! I didn't add any special effects today...decided this one just needed to be left the way it was. In case you didn't guess what it is, it's the view of looking straight down the bottle from yesterday's picture. There are some little glass beads in the bottom of it.

Day 16: Glass Bottle
I started out taking a picture of something different. Once I sat the bottle outside I just liked how it looked with all the leaves and stuff around it so I went with this instead. I decided to use my original idea as tomorrow's picture!! This is also the bottle I was going to put in the sand until I decided to use Andy's plaque. I'll probably still do the bottle in the sand idea, but I'll wait a little while before I do it.

Day 15: A Job Well Done
Yesterday was Andy's last day at Camp Geiger and he was given a coin of excellence and his gunny got him a really nice plaque! I decided I wanted to take it to the beach and take a picture of it in the sand. I took several pictures and had a very hard time choosing which one to use. I had to ask everyone's opinion. I finally chose this one because it looked the best with the effects I added. I had been wanting to do a beach picture but I had planned to use a pretty glass bottle I have so it would look like a bottle washed up on shore, but when Andy showed me his plaque and coin I thought I'd us it instead. I can always go back and do the bottle one later on!

Day 14: Theme (Vintage)
Mine and Melissa's theme for this week was vintage so this is my attempt! I think Melissa's photo did a better job but this is about all I have that makes me think vintage. The lady in the photo is Andy's grandmother and this might sound silly, but she looks vintage to me. She looks like she could've been a movie star back in the day! The candelabra was a wedding gift so it's not that old but it just looked like it fit in with the whole theme. I don't know if it is actually vintage but I like it and thinks it pretty cool so this is what I'm going with!!

Day 13: Shades
I had no clue what to do today and then I remembered one of Melissa's ideas to try and get your reflection in another object. I was having a hard time getting a good shot of my reflection so I sat do and tried to think of what else I could do. I looked in the kitched and it came to me! I sat the glasses down on the table and got the camera level with them so that I could a shot through the glasses. I took a couple shots, and even though the view in the shades is blurry, this one was my favorite because the frames were in focus. I couldn't get the frames and the view in focus at the same time and I thought the frames being in focus was better so this is the one I went with. I then made it to where the glasses were the only thing in color to make it more dramatic even though you can't really tell!

Day 12: Angled
I really didn't know what to take a picture of today either so I took Melissa's advice. She said to take filler pictures if I couldn't find any other inspiration, as in things that start with the letter A or things that are green. I know this is my VA dental hygiene license, and it doesn't start with A nor is it green. It is one of the biggest frames in the house so I decided to take a picture of it while standing to the side instead of straight on so it would make it look bigger at one end and then get smaller at the other end. So I guess my filler idea is distortion! It might be silly but it's all I've got for today. Plus it incorporates something that's part of my life...dental hygiene!!

Day 11: Our New Love
I know this is a silly thing to take a picture of but I didn't get a chance to take the one I was thinking about taking. I was sitting on the couch getting ready to get up and make dinner and there was a knock on the door. It was the tdisc holder that I had ordered!! I got the tassimo brewbot for Christmas and my husband and I love it! It is the new love of our lives. :) So I figured why not take the picture of something that just made my day a little brighter!! I know I messed with it but I had to make it a little more exciting. I mean, seriously, a coffee pot and disc holder really isn't that fun to look at. I'll try to do better tomorrow...I promise!!

Day Ten: Snow Day
I took this one with my little Nikon Coolpix. If I had a better camer this would've turned out a lot better. I was trying to get a pretty picture of the snow on the branches!! It started snowing last night and hasn't stopped yet. It's really pretty but the roads are bad so that's not so good! I have an idea for another picture I want to do of the snow so we'll see how it looks tomorrow!!

Day Nine: Contemplation
I went to let the dogs out and started looking at the door and I thought that taking a picture of it open might be kind of cool. It's pretty cold so Bruno had run back inside and then sat down at my feet and just started staring out the door. I decided to get him in the shot because it looked like he was trying to decide if he wanted to go out and face the cold or not! I really like messing with the contrast and brightness and stuff of pictures...I think it gives it a little drama!! We were suppose to be cleaning today but we've all just been kind of lazy watching movies and stuff.

Day Eight: Deliciousness
Tonight was suppose to be for Jeremy since he is deploying in a couple days but he totally ignored our phone calls...well I assume he ignored them, but he could've still been drunk from the night before! With Jeremy you never know what's going to happen. So Andy and I went out by ourselves. Andy mentioned to our waitress how he noticed that the ladies behind us were being really mean to her and that she should've punched them in the face. I then told her about when I was a waitress and how I understood about the crappy people that you can encounter from time to time! She was so happy that we were being nice to her and to show us how thankful she was for us making her feel better, she brought us a tiramisu that she said was on her!! She read my freakin mind. I was totally going to get one of those to go!!!! I took a picture of the plate and decided to use it as my pic of the day because it made me so happy! p.s. the tiramisu was in a box at this point...I couldn't eat it all so I took it home!
Day Seven: Lost Loves
This is one of the pictures I have on the fireplace mantel along with one of my willow tree figures. This is another random shot taken with my iPhone, and then I messed with the contrast and highlights to make it look a little different. The picture is of my mom's mom and dad. They're the only grandparents I ever really got to know, because my dad's dad died before my mom even met him, and my dad's mom died when I was really little. I have pictures with her but I really don't remember much of her. I miss my [maternal] grandparents so much. My granddad died the summer I graduated high school and was burried on my 18th birthday. They were both very special to me but after I graduated high school I pretty much moved in with my granny to help keep her company in a way since my granddad was gone. We were so much alike...we both had to have the last word, so we butted heads a lot, but I feel we were closer because of that. She passed away in 2009 and I still find myself picking up the phone to call her and tell her about my day or ask her if she's watching letterman (that was our show)! I know I'm where I'm at for a reason, but it really sucks being so far away from my family. I've always been really close with my family (most of them) and I feel like I'm missing out on important memories since I'm so far away.
Day Six: Innocence
This is Batman! I just thought this was too funny not to use as my picture of the day!!! She's so good at making herself look so sweet and innocent for pictures, but she is definitely not those things! She runs the house and you do what she says or you pay the price. She is also the pig in the family. I put their food on top of the washing machine so the dogs can't get to it, and we have to lift her up because she can't jump her fat butt up there!! She said this was her good side...you can't really see how wide she is! lol
Day Five: Rebuilding
Every year I make an ornament for me and Andy. The cats usual do a good job of messing things up and this year they broke the one I made for 2009 and they broke an ornament that my aunt had painted for me. When I was ordering our 2010 ornament I made a new 2009 one and then I put it on the new tree we got and took a picture. I don't have any cool photoshop programs so I just messed around with it on my computer and made it black and white.
Day Four: Good Fortune
Ok so I promised myself that I was going to work really hard this year to try and get my body in better shape. I ordered chinese food and told myself that this was going to be the last time, in a while, that I would splurge on something like this! I had seen a really cute picture of a fortune cookie on someone else's blog so I totally stole the idea and took a pictured because I felt like God was sending me a message that this year has better things coming my way. It read "The hard times will begin to fade. Joy will take their place."
Day Three: Two of Our Girls
Pepper (AKA: Lola) and Callie...two of our 3 cats! They're the nicer ones. :) At this point I started setting up my 365 project and had no clue what to take a picture of so I looked to my right and saw them laying together on the top of the couch and I thought it was just too sweet to pass up.
Day Two: Hurley
I still didn't know about the 365 project at this point and this was the only picture I had taken on Jan. 2nd so, therefore this is the one that gets posted!! This is Hurley..he's our oldest son and the most spoiled!!! He's definitely a momma's boy.
Day One: A New Year
I didn't know about this until about Jan. 3rd. My bestest friend Melissa was talking about it and so I decided to try it out and do it with her! I don't have a really good camera so most of my pictures are from my iPhone!! this was the only picture I had taken on the 1st so it's the one that gets put up here even though it's not the best :0p It's me and the hubbs celebrating our 6th new years as a couple, our 5th one as a married couple, and our 4th one actually in the same country together!
